9-1-1 EMERGENCY.......

Emergency Communication is the responsibility of receiving calls for police, fire and emergency medical services through the 9-1-1 system, radio, alarms and other telephone lines. Communications personnel dispatch the necessary equipment and manpower required to handle emergencies for Jasper County and in the city ogf Newton.

The Operations Division is manned on a 24 hour - 365 days a year basis with professional telecommunicators who generate and give out emergency and non-emergency calls to the police, ambulance, and fire departments.
